Ground Rules
Noise
Our site offers peace, tranquility, and the opportunity to step back from our hectic, overstimulating modern lives. Buzzing bees, the rustle of wind in long grass, and the occasional whistle of the Swanage steam train are about the only sounds you’ll hear from Threshold Farm. Please help up preserve the serenity of the site by keeping noise to a minimum, particularly after 9pm. No loud music at any time. Noise complaints will be taken seriously and you could be asked to leave if you continue to disturb your neighbours.
Fire
Purbeck is an extremely high wildfire risk area, with several major fires every summer. For this reason, disposable barbecues are not permitted anywhere on site - no exceptions. This is to keep yourself, your fellow campers and the environment safe. You are welcome to bring your own barbecue or fire pit, but it must be on legs, well off the ground. Fire pits are also available to rent for a fee, and firewood is available to purchase - please specify this on arrival. Do not remove tree limbs to burn as firewood. Damage to your pitch will result in the retention of your deposit.
Dogs
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on site, however they must be kept under close control/on a lead at all times. The farm is home to a number of four and two legged friends, from deer with fawns, to ground-nesting birds, to rabbits and lizards, and your cooperation helps to look after them. The same is true for your fellow campers, particularly those with young children and dogs of their own. Please pick up after your dog and dispose of this in the waste bags provided.
Waste
You will be provided with one bag for general waste, and one bag for recycling per pitch. Please place all waste in the bags provided - sorting your recycling is greatly appreciated - and leave them with us on check out. We ask that you leave no trace and keep your pitch clean for the next guests.
Check In & Check Out
Check in is after 1pm. Check out is before 11am. Please contact us if you require different arrangements to be made, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please close the gate after you when leaving or returning to help keep the site secure.
Farm
The Threshold is a working farm with dangerous machinery. Barns and outbuildings are therefore strictly no access. Please keep to footpaths at all times.
Vehicles
A 5MPH speed limit is in force throughout the site. We do not offer drive-on pitches for standard vehicles and regrettably cannot accommodate campervans or motorhomes. 4x4s must keep to the marked tracks and use these only to drive to and from their pitch.
